The first fashion workshop started off in Brisbane, QLD at the Metro South Institute of Technology at Mt Gravatt, Brisbane.
What a eye opener...How did I not know that Australia has some AMAZING Indigenous Designers! So many talented and inspirational woman in one room!
The first workshop from All the Perks representative - the the one and only - Ms Sophie Nixon!
LOOK OUT WORLD - This woman is insane - what a inspiration!
She began her fashion journey at the major Australian brand " SASS N BIDE". She has worked her way up to become a Senior Designer. She started as a intern then gain respect in the fashion world by working under pressure and using that pressure to create a new influential fashion trend which is still being used seasons later.
Her journey has continued to another influential brand "WILLOW" where she now resides in Sydney. From London to New York - she has been and seen...
I would LOVE to work with this woman in the future!
The next day continue with a second workshop from Indigenous Business Australia - Mr Garry King.
WOW another inspirational person! He is passionate, driven and REAL!
What an opportunity I have been given! I will not let anyone down and I will show the world just how amazing I am!
My next workshop is June 2013.
I will be presenting my first collection portfolio to an international panel in Sydney in August 2013.
Now its time to work!
